9th Digital China Summit to Highlight Tech Achievements and Growth

The 9th Digital China Summit is set to shine a spotlight on the rapid advancements in digital technology, with a particular focus on innovation and policy development. Liu Liehong, head of the National Data Administration, emphasized the summit's theme, which centers on accelerating innovation and fostering the growth of Digital China.

The summit will present pivotal achievements and groundbreaking advancements in the digital arena. Notably, the event will feature the unveiling of the Digital China Development Report (2025) and the Digital China Development Index, which are anticipated to offer critical insights into the progress made in digital transformation.

Attendees can expect to see the introduction of over 30 vital policies, reports, and standards pertaining to Digital China, presented by government bodies such as the National Development and Reform Commission, the Cyberspace Administration of China, and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.

Nearly 400 leading enterprises, including major players like China Southern Power Grid and Alibaba, will showcase their latest innovations and products that are driving digital transformation across various sectors.

Furthermore, the summit will highlight around 100 exemplary cases of integrated data elements across diverse industries such as agriculture, industrial manufacturing, healthcare, culture, and tourism, with over 65 percent of these exhibits being showcased for the very first time.

A significant focus will also be on the launch of more than 20 technical outcomes developed by seven prestigious universities, including Tsinghua University and Peking University, as well as research institutions like the National Data Development Research Institute and the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology.

In addition, the summit will include four ecosystem conferences centered on AI subsectors, organized by China Telecom, China Unicom, China Mobile, and Huawei. These conferences are expected to facilitate discussions among over 400 upstream and downstream enterprises, ideating collaboration and developmental opportunities.

This year, the summit will introduce an innovative "industry matchmaking hub" intended to forge connections between cutting-edge outcomes and market demands, reinforcing the relationship between innovation and commercialization.

Jointly organized by key governmental bodies including the National Development and Reform Commission, National Data Administration, Cyberspace Administration of China, and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, alongside the People's Government of Fujian Province, the summit will feature over 50 dialogue and exchange sessions.

The event will also host a Digital China Innovation Competition and offer an on-site experience zone, with more than 100 special events scheduled to take place simultaneously, further enriching the collaborative environment.
