2026 Zhongguancun Forum in Beijing to Highlight Tech Integration

The 2026 Zhongguancun Forum, scheduled to take place in Beijing from March 25 to 29, aims to underscore the theme of 'Full Integration Between Technological and Industrial Innovation.' An official from the Ministry of Science and Technology revealed this focus during a press conference.
This year's edition of the ZGC Forum is expected to draw over 1,000 participants from more than 100 countries and regions, featuring a robust agenda of more than a hundred events. Lin Xin, vice minister of science and technology, made the announcement, highlighting the international interest in this esteemed forum.
The 2026 forum will showcase four key features that reflect its core objectives. First, it will bolster Beijing's efforts to position itself as a global science and technology innovation hub through strategic forums and policy initiatives aimed at enhancing coordination among the regions of Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei.
Furthermore, this year's forum will delve into the profound integration of technological innovation with industrial sectors, particularly spotlighting advanced domains such as 6G, brain-computer interfaces, and cell and gene therapy.
Another significant theme of the 2026 forum will be the comprehensive advancement of education alongside science and technology, emphasizing the cultivation of talent necessary for driving innovation.
High-level scientific and technological openness and cooperation will also be a focal point, signaling China's commitment to international collaboration in these critical areas.
The 2026 Zhongguancun Forum is being jointly organized by several notable Chinese government bodies, including the Ministry of Science and Technology, the National Development and Reform Commission, and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
Since its inception in 2007, the ZGC Forum has evolved into a pivotal global event, characterized by its open and high-level approach to fostering worldwide innovation in science and technology.
