China is eager to enhance its collaboration with BRICS nations in pivotal sectors such as artificial intelligence, smart manufacturing, and biopharmaceuticals. The country’s top industry regulator emphasized that green technology partnerships, particularly in renewable energy areas like electric vehicles, solar power, and hydrogen energy, will be prioritized in these efforts.

During the Ninth Meeting of the BRICS Industry Ministers in Brasilia, Brazil, Chinese Vice-Minister of Industry and Information Technology Xiong Jijun remarked on the transformative impact of AI, referring to it as a "transformative force reshaping global progress." This statement underscores the importance of AI in driving forward industrial innovation and economic growth.

Highlighting the strategic coherence among the BRICS nations, which include Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa, Xiong called for intensified efforts to maximize the benefits of AI while effectively managing its associated challenges. The collaborative approach is pivotal in realizing the potential of AI within these diverse economies.

Xiong suggested the establishment of a multilateral framework that focuses on innovation, ecosystem development, and ethical governance.
