In response to a recent report from Taiwan's National Science and Technology Council suggesting that China's semiconductor market share in mature process chips is poised to overtake Taiwan's within two years, Chen Binhua, the spokesperson for the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, emphasized the significance of technological innovation and market applications.

During a press conference held on Wednesday, Chen stated, 'Leveraging a comprehensive industrial system and abundant application scenarios, high-tech industries such as semiconductors and artificial intelligence have developed rapidly in recent years.' He highlighted that the global market demand has enabled China to gain certain competitive advantages within the mature process chips sector.

Chen further elaborated on China's strategy, saying, 'In the future, we will continue to rely on our industrial foundation and vast market advantages to promote the deep integration of technological and industrial innovation.' This approach aims to foster an environment conducive to growth in high-tech industries, particularly in semiconductors.

The spokesperson expressed hopes for increased cooperation and integrated development across the Taiwan Straits, suggesting that joint efforts could advance the broader economy of the Chinese nation.
