Afghans Praise China's Cultural, Industrial, and Scientific Advancements

A recent visit to East China's Zhejiang province by a group of prominent Afghan journalists has opened avenues for stronger cultural and informational exchanges between Afghanistan and China. The delegation, which included representatives from Bakhtar News Agency, Tolo News, and Shamshad TV, aims to act as a bridge, fostering a better understanding of China among the Afghan populace.
During their tour, the journalists explored key cities such as Hangzhou, Jinhua, and Yiwu, immersing themselves in the local culture, cuisine, and technological advancements. They were particularly interested in the region's media enterprises and high-tech industries, highlighting the potential for collaboration in these sectors.
One notable stop was a smart factory in Jinhua, where the journalists witnessed the capabilities of automated guided vehicles (AGVs) handling logistics seamlessly across production lines. The sight of automated manipulators working efficiently and photovoltaic cells being transported on conveyor belts showcased the advanced manufacturing processes in China.
Ahmad Ahmadi, the editor-in-chief of Bakhtar News Agency, reflected on the visit, stating that Afghanistan is currently developing coal, hydropower, and solar power projects. He noted that seeing the progress of Chinese companies has provided valuable insights into the future direction of Afghanistan's national power industry.
In light of what he observed, Ahmadi plans to advocate for increased collaboration between the Afghan government and businesses with their counterparts in Jinhua across various fields, highlighting the potential benefits of such partnerships.
Uzair Baryalay, the director of the Daily Division of the Afghan Ministry of Information and Culture, shared his perspective on the trip, emphasizing that it was his first exposure to China and described the experience as enlightening and full of new discoveries.
The Chinese organizers of the visit underscored the significance of such exchanges, expressing their commitment to showcasing China's advancements to foreign media personnel. Their aim is to empower these journalists to convey a more intricate and positive narrative about China back to their respective countries.
