The 25th China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT) is set to take place in Xiamen, Fujian province, from September 8 to 11, with a significant focus on financial capital investment.

In a notable expansion of the fair's scope, special areas will be designated for the emerging sectors of low-altitude economy and artificial intelligence, as announced by Yu Hao, director of the Bureau of Convention and Exhibition of Xiamen, during a promotional event in Guangzhou.

Furthermore, the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) will partner with Chinese cities to hold a prominent event aimed at fostering international dialogue on investment promotion and technological innovation.

To enhance the experience for participants, the CIFIT online system is being upgraded to improve capabilities for online exhibitions, matchmaking, and negotiations.

This year's fair will feature the United Kingdom as the guest country of honor, underscoring the significance of UK-China relations.

Trevor Lewis, head of trade and investment at the British consulate-general in Guangzhou, expressed optimism about the mutual success of Chinese businesses in the UK and vice versa, emphasizing the desire to see further growth in this partnership.

Lewis further highlighted that the UK places a high priority on its cooperation with China and recognizes the vast opportunities that the expansive Chinese market presents.
