China Kicks Off Exciting Service Consumption Season

NANJING, June 3 (Xinhua) -- The national service consumption season for this year was officially launched on Tuesday in Nanjing, the capital of east China's Jiangsu Province. This initiative is a significant effort aimed at stimulating growth within the service sector.
Co-organized by the Ministry of Commerce and China Media Group, the campaign intends to generate new consumption hotspots and promote a healthy interplay between supply and demand within China's service economy.
The initiative involves collaboration among government bodies, industry associations, and leading enterprises, collectively orchestrating over 160 major events. The objective is to create innovative consumption scenarios, tap into consumer potential, enhance quality service supply, and cater to the diverse demands of the public.
In 2024, service consumption accounted for 46.3 percent of Jiangsu's overall consumer spending, surpassing the national average by 0.2 percentage points. This figure underscores the province's robust engagement in service consumption.
